Berry Blast Smoothie

Hey Everyone!

Ever heard of wedding crashers?!  Of course you have!  Well I'm here to crash onto Janet and Lacey's blog as a guest writer!  I love getting my fruits and veggies through smoothies.  They are a great substitute for soda, which is not good for your health at all.  With natural sugars that your body needs instead of refined white sugar and loaded with nutrients, smoothies provide your body with energy that is far more effective and long-lasting than caffeine.

Try this one for yourself, and I'll continue to crash in with more fun smoothies.

Your pal in health,

Scott

SW's Berry Blast

  • 2 Bananas (Don't be scarred to use the softer, brown ones!)
  • 1 Peeled Large Orange
  • Flax Seed (From Trader Joe's and found in the cereal section.)
  • 1 Apple (Cored and chopped into quarters.)
  • Coconut Water
  • Frozen Raspberries
  • Frozen Blueberries (While fresh is best, frozen is convenient.  Keeping frozen fruits at home means there is always a fruit option, which is far better than turning to soda.  Also, it makes the drink nice and chilled.  If you use fresh berries in this recipe, try adding in an ice cube.)

Blend and enjoy!
